How our offers work

Our coupons apply to repair service, not to new equipment. Offers cannot be combined, so ask which one fits your visit before work begins. During regular business hours, the trip charge is free with any repair. Military members and seniors get 10% off repair service, up to a $240 discount.

The Krinkie’s Club maintenance plan is billed as a monthly fee. Members get an AC tune-up in spring, a furnace tune-up in fall, up to a 20% discount on most repairs, a reduced trip charge and priority service.

Equipment financing lets you pay for a new furnace, boiler, heat pump or air conditioner over time. It applies to qualifying equipment installations. Ask your technician during your in-home estimate, or call 651-488-5555.

Utility rebates

Xcel Energy provides electric and natural gas service in Saint Paul. Xcel Energy’s Minnesota rebate summary lists residential rebates through 2026. Highlights:

• Gas furnaces: $200 to $400 for 95% to 97% AFUE in an existing home.
• Gas boilers: $250 for 95% AFUE or higher.
• Central air conditioners: $150 or $450, depending on efficiency. Both need a Quality Installation.
• Heat pumps: $1,100 to $1,600 for a ducted air-source heat pump, up to $2,000 for a cold-climate model, and $500 per heating ton for ground-source.
• Water heaters: $400 for a heat pump water heater ($500 with Demand Management), $75 for a gas storage model and $250 for a tankless gas model.

Gas equipment needs Xcel natural gas service. Air conditioners, heat pumps and heat pump water heaters need Xcel electric service. The rebate application must be postmarked by September 30 of the year after installation.

Keep your dated invoice, because it must show the manufacturer, model and serial number. A proposal or estimate does not count. Questions about a rebate? Call Xcel Energy at 800-895-4999.

State rebates from the Minnesota Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce plans income-based home electrification rebates for heat pumps and other equipment. As of its June 12, 2026 update, the program had not launched yet and had no launch date.

Rebate levels will depend on household income compared with the area median income for your county. Planned categories include heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, insulation and air sealing. Replacing an existing heat pump will not qualify. Commerce publishes a 2026 income look-up table by county.

Commerce advises waiting until the program launches before you work with an approved contractor. It says purchases made before the launch will not qualify. It also warns that unexpected calls or visits about the program are likely scams.
