Local rules that vary by city
Some permits depend on where you live. DLI’s electrical permit instructions say projects in cities with local inspection authority go to the city inspector. DLI also keeps an electrical inspector directory so you can find the right office. Our licensed electricians check this before work starts.
If you smell gas anywhere in our area, leave on foot and call 911 and Xcel Energy at 1-800-895-2999 from a safe place outside. Do not turn off the gas meter yourself. If another company supplies your gas, call the number on your gas bill.
